Biography

Before joining Washington Harbour, Mr. Smith was Senior Partner at In-Q-Tel (IQT), a strategic investment firm that invests and delivers cutting-edge technology to the US National Security Community. During his nearly two decades at IQT, Mr. Smith executed over sixty investments in support of the national security community and helped expand IQT’s global footprint as Managing Director of its first international office in London.

Before joining IQT, Mr. Smith held several senior roles at Merrill Lynch, including Vice President positions within Corporate Strategy and Finance, as well as serving as an investor in the firm’s strategic venture capital group.

Mr. Smith earned a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He is an active member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS).
